1971年出生于新疆。1988-1992年入读国际关系学院，80年代的最后一批大学生；1998-2008年在南方都市报工作，曾发起华语电影/音乐传媒大奖；2007年注册网络ID“V”，以网民身份关注中国黑窑奴役现象。现任《时尚先生esquire》杂志主编。
