张佳炜和陈智浩是一对同性恋人，三年的感情却在激爱后变得索然无味。正在此时，单身的和野闯入了两人的感情世界。和野并不是纯粹意义上的同性恋，而只是一个占有欲望特别强的感情个体；他在玩弄了多个女人的感情后转而对男性产生了十足兴趣。他甚至把征服男性视为一种挑战，一种比让女人对自己投怀送抱更具成就感的挑战。为了得到陈智浩，和野不惜主动勾引张佳炜，以引起两人感情的破裂。张佳炜只是一个单纯的男孩，他经不起久经沉浮的和野的挑逗，在一次次与和野的碰撞后，张佳炜开始怀疑自己和陈智浩之间的感情，甚至向陈智浩提出了分手。陈智浩不能接受如此残酷的事实，但他并没有直接表露；而是反过来利用和野对自己的爱维护其和张佳炜的情感。他设计一场场戏剧（阴谋）对张佳炜展开疯狂报复，张佳炜最后知道真相后难以承受，选择离开。而和野身陷陈智浩的阴谋却始终没有察觉，到最后才知道自己只是陈智浩的一颗棋子，懊悔不已。陈智浩最后失去了一切，但他始终坚信他这么做只是因为爱张佳炜。

Synopsis:
Zhang Jiawei and Chen Zhihao are a gay couple, whose love lost its glamour after three years. At this time, the single stud He Ye smashed into the life of the two. He Ye, a possessive man, took interest in men after toying with relationships with many women. He saw the conquering of men more of a challenge than making women fall for him. To possess Chen Zhihao, He Ye seduced Zhang Jiawei, which led to the love problems of the couple. Zhang Jiawei, a naïve young boy, could not handle the seduction of the sophisticated He Ye and began to question the love between Chen Zhihao and him. Jiawei even wanted to break up. Though he could not take this cruel fact, Chen Zhihao did not reveal his true feelings, but took advantage of He Ye’s love of him to maintain his relationship with Zhang Jiawei. Chen Zhihao designed a series of schemes to revenge on Zhang Jiawei. After finding out the truth, Zhang Jiawei chose to leave. Trapped in Chen’s conspiracy, He Ye did not realize that he had been used until the very end and regretted what he had done. Ultimately, Chen Zhihao lost everything, but he still believed all that he had done was because he loved Zhang Jiawei.

Director’s Statement:
Fire in Silence is neither a mere film about homosexuality nor a simple gay story, but rather, a portrait of one of the innermost desire of human beings – the possessive instinct through gay characters. Human beings, born with desires, will stop at nothing, even at the cost of their basic conscience, to pursue what they want, whether it is power, money or love. He Ye is the epitome of everyone in this world. In a time when we are surrounded by desires such as money, lust, power, none choose to get away, but rather, we chose to conform like slaves. Zhang Jiawei and Chen Zhihao believed in love but they did not hold on to it. It took only a third man to end their love. Try as Chen Zhihao might, Zhang Jiawei would never come back to him from the one he really loved – He Ye. Everybody is selfish and blinded in the face of love. And this world is packed with joy and sorrow because of love. It’s time for us to cool down and think about who we love and who love us, about whether desire has taken control of our minds. And if so, let the fire of desire go out. If you have love in your heart, treasure it, because it is so difficult to really have love.
