姜秀瓊生於1969年，大學時曾演出楊德昌《牯嶺街少年殺人事件》中二姐張瓊一角，並以此片入圍金馬獎最佳女配角。畢業後擔任過侯孝賢《海上花》、《千禧曼波》、與楊德昌《獨立時代》、《一一》等多部影片的副導。表情指導。著有電影劇本《家庭訪問》，獲得新聞局88年度優良電影劇本獎，編劇導演作品有《三方通話》之第三段「連載小說」。

Born in 1969, CHIANG Huiu-chiung is a graduate in theater studies and screenwriting from Taipei National University of the Arts. During college, she appeared in Edward Yang’s A Brighter Summer Day and has since worked behind the scenes on various Taiwan films. In 2002, she directed a segment of omnibus film Fancy 25.
