一words: “The world is however you are.
Director’s Statement:
I once saw David Lynch in my dream; he taught me the benefits of transcendental meditation, and we spoke without any language barrier whatsoever. I thought I would ask him about cinema, but I asked him about my choices in life and love. I trusted his words without a doubt in my mind. When I woke up, I flipped open “Catching the Big Fish” again, and I saw these encouraging Film is however you are.” I finally discovered a way to develop my “Rozen Maiden.” These words come from a chapter in the book The Circle, which was coincidentally also the name of my first project in film school. I see the circle as hope, because the end point of a circle is also its starting point; and it comes with endless possibilities. There’s no way for us to know how a film will touch people, nor do we know what will happen next. But I know for sure that cinema touches my heart, and I only want to do things that touch my heart.
