Brian Gothong TAN（菲律宾裔），从小生长于新加坡。他是近年来新加坡影坛涌现出的最令人振奋和最多产的多媒体艺术家。毕业于美国加州艺术学院实验动画系的他，其作品已在世界多个电影节上展映。他是2006年新加坡双年展上代表新加坡的最年轻的艺术家，他最新的影片《快乐工厂》曾在2007年的戛纳电影节上的“特别关注”单元中展映。
周子川也是新加坡最早尝试把数字电影制作中复杂的摄影和灯光技术“放大”到35毫米胶片电影上的摄影师之一。这样的尝试催生了Abdul Nizam's “Haura”在《爱的故事》(1999)一片中这段极具视觉冲击力的片段，此片是第一部本地数字电影，由Eric Khoo制作。他于2005年和2006年间糅合了“魔幻现实主义”、“直接电影”和“道格玛95”表现手法，并在2006年完成了电影Carnaval，形成了启发对我们当今生活进行思考的“意识电影”。与Toh Hai Leong 合作的《无比的朋友》，是他的首部纪录片，这标志着他个人的进行重新探索的旅程。Brian Gothong TAN (Philippines) grew up in Singapore. He is one of the most exciting and prolific multimedia artists that has emerged from Singapore in recent years. Graduated in Experimental Animation from the California Institute of Fine Arts, his artwork has been exhibited at several festivals around the world. He was the youngest artist ever to represent Singapore in the Singapore Biennale in September 2006. His latest film project, Pleasure Factory, screened at the Cannes Film Festival 2007 under the Un Certain Regard section.
