概述:: 萨拉热窝电影节是一个国际性的电影节，在于推广和支持地区电影工业以及电影制作人的发展。电影节同时也会举办一个制作合作市场活动cinelink。是经FIAPF认可的竞赛性电影节。
电影节包括竞赛单元和非竞赛单元。主要关注东南欧的电影，会有故事片，短片，纪录片的竞赛单元。也面向全球的电影作品。单元设置有：竞赛单元，焦点关注，全景单元，新潮流单元，致敬单元，喜力开放空间单元，儿童单元，青年单元，午夜场，以及Katrin Cartlidge Fund基金单元。（Competition Programme (features, shorts and documentaries), In Focus, Panorama, New Currents, Tribute to..., Heineken Open Air, Children's Programme, TeenArena, Midnight Meetings and the Katrin Cartlidge Fund. ）
电影节同时也会举办青年校园Sarajevo Talent Campus这样的培训教育项目

PARTNERS AWARDS

PRIX UIP
Award for the best short movie granted by the International United Pictures. The winner gets 2.000 欧元 and it is qualifying for the European Film Academy Award (EFA).

HUMAN RIGHTS AWARD
Award for the best film from Competition Documentary Programme dealing with the subject of human rights in the amount of 3,000 欧元 is granted by The Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.

EDN TALENT GRANT
The EDN Talent Grant has been created as a co-operation between the Sarajevo FilmFestival (SFF) and the European Documentary Network (EDN) with the purpose to support an up-and-coming documentary filmmaker from the Balkan region and the grant consists of free access and accommodation to the Thessaloniki pitching workshop in March 2008, where the winner will be able to develop his/her new documentary project.

CICAEAWARD
The International Confederation of Art Cinemas (CICAE) is awarding the film from Comptetition Programme - Feature Film. The prized movie will receive particular support from the CICAE who is committed to help it find distribution, screens and audience among the 3.000 screens of its network.
