蒙古草原，天气晴 Puujee

每个人的生命都会因为他所碰见的人、遭遇的事情而有所改变……

1999年秋天，日本探险家关野吉晴骑着脚踏车横越蒙古，遇上了年仅6岁、骑在马背上的普洁。关野想要为她拍照，却被拒绝了：「如果你是来拍照的，请你离开。」这次偶遇开启了关野与这位桀敖不驯蒙古女孩的友谊。

影片拍摄的五年期间，普洁与家人经历了许多事情：包括妈妈的去世、蒙古社会与经济型态的转型。生于蒙古的游牧民族，普洁很小就学会牧羊、骑马，对于成长环境的艰辛，她毫无怨言；在妈妈的的教诲之下，普洁一心想要上学，她曾经想要当老师，和关野结识后，她改变了志愿——希望成为一位日文翻译。而关野也因为普洁，重新思考自己所处的世界。

一个人的生命也许渺小、脆弱，梦想的精神却可以波澜壮阔、绵延无限……

Our lives are transformed, becoming more profound and diverse, through our encounters with others. Explorer Yoshiharu SEKINO is on a voyage to trace the journey of the human race back to its point of origin. The documentary begins in the fall of 1999, just as SEKINO reaches Mongolia. On the plain he sees a child riding expertly on horseback. SEKINO raises his camera and begins taking pictures. When he approaches, she turns and, in a fully authoritative tone, says, “If you're here to take photos, stay away!”

Her name is Puujee - a term of endearment for Purevhishig (the fortunate girl who was born on Thursday). At the time, Puujee is six years old. To SEKINO, she is the epitome of the nomad, a girl of strong self-reliance, able, sure, and one that does not seek to curry favor of adults. Like other nomads, Puujee and her family confront the new realities of Mongolian society brought about by the sweeping socio-economic and environmental changes that occur during their five-year association with SEKINO, as Mongolia moves from a socialist to market economy. The documentary follows the fortunes of Puujee and her family as they welcome SEKINO into their midst, and depicts how Puujee’s dreams and hopes expand beyond the plains of Mongolia.
