Ron Mann拍摄于1982年的诗歌纪录片，收录了包括William Burroughs, Allen Ginsberg, John Cage, Tom Waits等25位北美诗人和艺术家的诗歌朗诵片断。由美国女诗人Madeleine Marie Slavick作现场介绍。

About the film:
Poetry in Motion is a 1982 documentary directed by Ron Mann featuring contemporary North American poetry and music. Featured are some of the Black Mountain poets, Beats, minimalist poets, and avante-garde poets.

Called the "Woodstock of Poetry" by American Film, and "Dazzling" by the Los Angeles Times, Poetry in Motion is an unprecedented anthology of twenty-four leading North American poets who sing, chant, anything but "read" their work.
The result is a celebration of poetry's ancient oral tradition. And an energetic demonstration that verse is alive and thriving in the media-blitzed age
About the director:
"Ron" Mann (born June 13, 1958) is a Canadian documentary film director focusing primarily on aspects of American popular culture. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto.
His films include Imagine the Sound, Comic Book Confidential, The Twist, Grass, Go Further, and his latest release Tales of the Rat Fink. He also directed Poetry in Motion, released on Giorno Poetry Systems.
His first music video project is "Jezebel", by Canadian indie rock band Two Hours Traffic, which he directed and in which he also appears.
He resides in Toronto with his family
