　　How do i submit my film?
　　Click SUBMIT, and follow the instructions. The entire process takes between 10 and 20 minutes. At the end of the process you will be asked to print and sign your entry form. If you dont have a printer, dont worry! Once submitted, your application is saved in our database and it can be later retrieved, edited, and printed from any computer connected to the internet.

　　In which film categories do you accept submissions?
　　Categories: Feature Narrative, Short Narrative, Experimental, Documentary, Animation. + rules
　　How can i pay the entry fee?
　　Entry fees can be paid online (Paypal or Credit Card) or by mailing with your submission package a Check, Travelers check, Bank check, or Money Order. All payments must be in US dollars. If you intend to use Paypal or a Credit Card, click here to pay online and to receive your Online Payment Transaction ID number.
　　Can I submit my film if previously screened at other festivals?
　　Yes. There is no maximum number of festivals at which the film may be screened. The "New York Premiere" status is preferred, but not mandatory.
　　How many films can I submit?
　　As many as you like. Although each film must have its own screening copy, submission form, entry fee, and supplemental materials. DO NOT submit multiple projects on the same screening tape or DVD. Additionally, we recommend that you use the same main email address for all your submissions.
　　Which Preview Copy Formats do you accept?
　　Entries must be submitted on VHS or DVD. BiFF accepts both PAL and NTSC formats. NOTE: Last year about 10% of all DVD submissions had playback problems and a replacement had to be re-submitted. Please TEST your DVD on a stand-alone DVD player BEFORE sending it to our offices. + requirements
　　I want to submit but I can't get past the "Step 1: your email address" page. What's wrong?
　　If after entering your email address in Step 1, you are taken back to the same page, cookies are disabled on your browser. Cookies MUST be enabled to submit, edit or check the status of your submission. To correct the problem, visit our enabling cookies page.
　　Are there any time restrictions?
　　Narrative Features must be no less than 70 minutes. Narrative Short films not longer than 70 minutes. Documentary, Animation, and Experimental categories have no time restrictions. + rules
　　How many submissions do you receive every year?
　　For the past edition the festival received 2000+ submissions. A live counter of the submissions received so far for the current edition is available at + statistics
　　Is the festival competitive?
　　Through the resources of industry-related sponsors, the festival awards the winners with a total of approximately US $100,000 in film services and cash. + awards
　　Screening Format for selected films:
　　If your film is selected, the Brooklyn International Film Festival will accept screening copies in the following formats:
　　Film: 35mm, 16mm - Video: Digi-Beta, Beta, DV, DVD. + requirements
　　When will I be notified if my film has been accepted?
　　The 10th Brooklyn International Film Festival will take place June 1-10, 2007. Filmmakers selected for the festival will be notified via email by May 5th, 2007. Not selected films will be notified via email when the full lineup is complete and confirmed (around May 15th).
　　Can I submit a work-in-progress or "rough cut"?
　　Works-in-progress are considered only during the FINAL SUBMISSION DEADLINE (after Nov 30th) and if the film will be completed at least 3 weeks before the beginning of the festival. Please list directly on the tape/disk box which elements of your film are missing.
　　Do you have a printable version of the entry form?
　　The festival strongly encourages filmmakers to submit using the online entry form, however, a printable entry form can be requested via email or fax but ONLY during the FINAL SUBMISSION DEADLINE (after Nov 30th).
　　Can i update my submission?
　　YES! Click edit/print and enter your email and password to CHECK THE STATUS, EDIT, and PRINT your application.
　　I submitted my film last year but it was not selected. Can I resubmit my film?
　　To resubmit a film, the film must be significantly re-edited. A film may be resubmitted more than once if it has been worked on in the last year.
　　Did you receive/select my submission?
　　We send a confirmation email for of all packages that we receive. If you sent your package close to a submission deadline, it may take a few days to get our email. The status is also visible online. To check the status of your package or to see if the film has been selected or not, click check status.
　　How many films do you accept in the festival?
　　We estimate that the next festival line-up will include about 120 films. + past films
　　Can I release my film theatrically or on broadcast television before the Festival?
　　Entries shall not have theatrical release or be broadcast anywhere in the U.S.A. before the last day of the festival. Previous festivals, cast&crew, and private screenings are OK.
　　Does the festival project digital films? If so, in which formats?
　　The projects selected for the Festival, if not available on film, will be projected in DigiBeta, Beta, DV, and DVD formats (NTSC).
